CNFMS and SENSORS

Canal Network Flow Monitoring System for monitoring, Irrigation, water management and decision support systems is required. With the active support of Director General, WALAMTARI, some steps have been initiated under the ClimaAdapt Project. In the last 7 months the main achievements are:
Study of the existing sensors and instruments
Exposure to the existing systems and modern canal control systems
Market study of the systems
Training to the engineers on software development
Canal and on farm water use efficiency studies conducted
Involvement of students as interns for studies in the field and development of sensors
Sensors developed using Arduino, sensors for levels (ultrasonic), temperature, relative humidity and soil moisture.
Two products developed named TWEET (water level, temperature and relative humidity) and CLICK (soil moisture, temperature and relative humidity) involving RGUKT students as interns.
